Work Based Learning
This program builds academic, job-specific, and transferable employability skills. Students have an opportunity to earn up to two elective credits towards graduation, and gain meaningful work experience while often also earning a paycheck. The Work Based Learning program raises student accountability. Students who participate in Work Based Learning communicate more effectively with parents, counselors, employers, community based partners and their work based learning coordinators. The Work Based Learning program is inherently designed as an engagement tool and has been proven to increase student attendance, classroom performance and behavior.
