Unique Features of the Program:
• HighScope Curriculum supports problem solving with 6 steps to solving problems.
• Is a Park Avenue neighborhood school, in a park-like setting with two playgrounds and open grassy areas.
• Daily classroom technology includes interactive whiteboards, computers and iPads, along with weekly use of the school 23 computer lab.
• Students use the school 23 library for age appropriate story time and participate in many school-wide events and assemblies.
• Field trips include the Monroe YMCA, Rochester Museum and Science Center and Planetarium, Monroe Library, an apple farm and nature hikes.
• Partnership with East High School's Teaching and Learning Institute and the Monroe Library; parents welsomced and encouraged to regularly join in classroom activities.
