State Monitor Public Hearings
About the State Hearings
The State Monitor appointed to the Rochester City School District is seeking input from the public on specific academic and fiscal reports pertaining to the RCSD.
The public hearing will take place on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 from 5 p.m. – 6 p.m. virtually via Zoom conferencing. There will be no in-person component of the hearing. Tuesday’s meeting will focus on the Monitor’s academic and fiscal report.
In 2020, a new law came into effect that directed the Commissioner of Education to appoint a Monitor to provide oversight, guidance, and technical assistance related to the academic and fiscal policies, practices, programs, and decisions of the Rochester City School District, the Board of Education, and the Superintendent.
Hearings were conducted in June, July, and November of 2020 that focused on governance and intervention, academic performance status, fiscal performance status, as well as other specific academic and fiscal issues.
