Franklin High School…

  • Offers co-op, internship, and youth apprenticeship opportunities through partnerships with local employers including hospitals, businesses, and financial service agencies.

  • Offers students the opportunity to earn the Certificate of Employability, which is endorsed by employers throughout Rochester who consider it when making hiring decisions.

  • Has a Career/College Counseling Center which helps students make college and career choices, secure financial aid, develop portfolios, and learn job-related skills.

  • Has a Distance Learning Classroom which allows students to participate in courses at other high schools and colleges.

  • Provides mentors for all students.

  • Offers an SAT College Preparation Program and a Career/ Employment Preparation Program.

  • Offers Advanced Placement and college-level courses.

  • Participates in the Virtual Enterprise Program, which allows students to gain first-hand knowledge in running a business.

  • Has a Black and Hispanic Scholars Program, which supports students throughout high school with the goal of helping them become Urban League Black Scholars in their senior year.

  • Has a Regents Academy which pairs students with tutors and teachers for academic support three afternoons a week.

  • Offers extracurricular activities including PRIS2M math and science program, Student Government, Peer Mediation, Step Team, School Newspaper, and athletic programs.
