The vision of Kodak Park School No. 41 is to be a learning community which prepares students to consistently achieve rigorous academic standards, to be technologically proficient, and to be productive, lifelong learners in a culturally diverse global society. We provide student-centered learning experiences by expecting high academic standards, providing quality instruction, promoting a safe learning environment for academic, social, emotional, and physical development, and reinforcing the value of parent participation and community support.
- Is located on Ridge Road West between Lake Avenue and Dewey Avenue.
- Uses the America's Choice school-reform model to help all students meet academic standards in reading and math.
- Is a Spanish and Instrumental Music Magnet School.
- Was chosen to participate in the national Lesson Study program in mathematics, in which a group of math experts observe classroom lessons and discuss strategies for strengthening instruction.
- Supplements the traditional reading curriculum with a phonics-based program for students needing extra support (Wilson Fundations).
- Promotes a safe school environment and supports character building through Positive Behavioral Intervention Support (PBIS) and conflict resolution.
- Encourages parental involvement through organized parent groups (PTA and PAT—Parent Action Team), parent membership on other school committees, and a parent newsletter, The Bellringer.
- Partners with SUNY Geneseo, Nazareth College, Monroe Community College, St. John Fisher College, University of Rochester, Paychex, Landmark Society, and Kodak.
- Offers after-school and summer programs in conjunction with the City of Rochester Recreation Department.
- Provides health services from The Children’s Institute (Primary Mental Health Project) and ViaHealth.
