George Mather Forbes School No. 4 provides a safe and healthy environment where all children learn and develop their individual talents. Our vision is for all of our students to become good citizens and productive members of society.
- Major Achievement Program (MAP) provides students in grades 4-6 with opportunities for acceleration and enrichment.
- Performing arts program allows students in kindergarten through grade 3 to participate in drama, oral presentations, singing and dancing.
- Extended-day program offers students before- and after-school tutoring and Saturday School. Intervention provided to students in need of extra support in English language arts and math.
- Has computers in all classrooms and a computer lab.
- Project STRIDE Saturday Program in partnership with Omega Psi Phi Fraternity develops skills in anger management and self-empowerment. Peer mediation and conflict resolution programs offered.
- Offers band/stringed instrument music instruction.
- Has a variety of extracurricular activities such as basketball, band, chorus, cheerleading and stepping.
- Saturday Art Club is held at Nazareth College to enrich students’ art talents.
- Community partners include Nazareth College, the Foster Grandparents Program, RIT, Kiwanis Club and Omega Psi Phi Fraternity.
- Active Parent Teacher Organization sponsors events including Mother/Son Formal, Father/Daughter Formal, Talent Show, Carnival, and parent workshops.
