Eastman TheaterIn the middle of the 1900's George Eastman gave money for the building of the Eastman Theater. On January 28, 1997, Mr and Mrs. Shade, Ms. Davie, Ms. Robinson, Ms. Clark and Mrs. Patterson's classes went to the Eastman theater for the RPO which stands for Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra. The theater is huge and beautiful. When I entered the building it was packed full of people. There was a huge chandelier. It was very big and shiny. It was like a huge crystal ball. I think it's the biggest chandelier in the United States. On the walls, paintings of angels with the sun rising in the sky. The stage had a golden border. At the Eastman Theater there are many performances like; dances, orchestra, opera and others. To go to these performancesit will coast $20.00 a seat. We got in free (with a class trip only) you must be in fourth or fifth grade.I had fun there. I heard some great music. I liked the violins because they sound beautiful.By Ashley |
