Marci and Ann Weber

The teachers of the deaf at Martin B. Anderson School No. 1 would like to nominate Marci and Ann Weber for Parent Recognition. They are the parents of Catherine Weber who is a first-grader at School No. 1.
Both of these parents are outstanding! As co-president of our PTA, Marci Weber is involved in all of the amazing activities that our PTA sponsors, including the “Reading Rain Forest” community book fair, “Welcome Back Friday,” a special-person day, an ice cream social at open house, and classroom guest readers. Ann Weber is a member of our School-Based Planning Team and also devotes much time to school activities.
Every year they make a generous donation to the Flying Fingers Club, a club for our deaf and hard of hearing students. Their donation allows students who cannot afford to pay their own way to join us on our many field trips. If a job needs to be done, you can count on either or both of these women to make it happen, and to do it well!
It is due to the involvement of parents like Marci and Ann that enrichment activities and field trips happen at our school. One can only admire their tireless efforts to make School No. 1 a great place to learn. |
