Parent Engagement is a key component of the District's plan to increase student achievement. To ensure parent input, the Office of Parent Engagement collaborated with the community to develop a comprehensive strategy by which parents, grandparents, guardians, educators, and other interested community members will work with the Superintendent and the Board of Education in implementing the District's Parental Involvement Policy (Board Policy 1900). As a result of several community meetings a districtwide Parent Advisory Council has been developed. We are now in the critical process of electing parents, community members, and students to serve! It is time for you to nominate individuals you believe have the courage to embark on this journey: holding everyone accountable for doing their part to ensure student success Click here to find out more. |
