No. 9 Students Receive “Food for Thought”
Students
from School No. 9, 485 N. Clinton Avenue, will receive a donation
of food to take home over the upcoming spring recess through a
partnership with Christ Church. The food will be handed out to
students on Wednesday, April 7, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in
the school cafeteria. School staff, student council members, and
volunteers from the church will participate.
The “Food for Thought” initiative was created to help
promote School No. 9’s slogan, “While on vacation,
think about your education.” Soon after students return
from spring recess, May testing will begin. Nutritious food over
the recess will help students prepare for the tests and a successful
completion of the school year. (Contact: Sharon Delly, 325-7828)
