School 44 Students To Receive “Busload” of School Supplies

Students at Rochester’s School No. 44, 820 Chili Avenue, will be the recipients of a literal “busload” of school supplies thanks to radio station 98 PXY and Staples. The supplies, valued at over $3,000, will be delivered to the school by school bus today (Thursday, October 7) at 10:30 a.m.

Through the “Stuff the Bus” charity promotion which ran in September,

98 PXY and StaplesIrondequoit collected school supplies to benefit students and teachers in a school in the Rochester City School District.  A school bus, on loan from Wayne Finger Lakes BOCES, was “stuffed” with school supply donations over the two-week period.

On hand for the event will be 98 PXY’sScott Spezzano, representatives from Staples,School No. 44 Principal Wilhelmina Glover and staff, and School No. 44 student leaders who will accept the donation on behalf of the school.
