School Safety Hotline
The safety of students and staff is a top priority in the Rochester City School District.
To enhance the safe environment in and around its schools, the District uses a School Safety Hotline as part of its overall safety plan. It is a free, confidential service that students and parents can use to anonymously report threats of violence or illegal activity. Reports can be filed by telephone.

Telephone: 1-866-284-7040
The Hotline links the District to a nationally recognized school-safety system that allows information to be reported to District officials; callers may remain anonymous. Action can then be taken immediately to prevent trouble before it happens.
This service is a secure, confidential, effective method of allowing students and parents to be the “eyes and ears” of Rochester’s schools. Together, we can maintain our schools as safe learning environments in which all students can learn without disruption.
