Our Vision:

Each of our STEM students has unique talents and interests that we will help discover and explore. STEM students will have access to a world-class education embodied in 21^st Century skills. Our students will be prepared for college, the global workforce and careers yet to be invented.

Our Mission:

Our students will learn about our world through the integration of studies in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. Our commitment is using an integrated approach to teaching and learning so that all students will succeed.

At the Rochester STEM High School, we ensure student success by:

Focusing on actual career pathways in Engineering, Nursing, and Technology where jobs will grow over the next five to ten years.

Providing small learning communities with a family atmosphere.

Giving students a choice in one of three Academy pathways:
- Academy of Engineering
- Academy of Information Technology
- Academy of Health Sciences

Partnering with national organizations:
- The National Academy Foundation (NAF) - More than 90% of NAF students graduate from High School.
- Project Lead the Way (PLTW) drives the high school project-based curriculum preparing the engineers.
- National Action Council for Minorities in Engineering, Inc. (NACME) has provided more than $120 million in scholarships to African-American, Latino, and American Indian students enabling them to attend more than 160 different universities and colleges.

Connecting with local hospitals, colleges and business will immerse our students in authentic experiences at every grade level.

Requiring uniforms that distinguish STEM students.

Introducing and challenging our students to Lego League and First Robotics competitions.

Believing in our students, and that they come first. We also hold our students accountable to create their own path, make a positive difference, and to recognize that our country's problems are opportunities for innovations and solutions.
