Program Abstract

The student will:
Complete a minimum of 1200 hours on the job.
Complete all workblocks.
Graduate from high school with a minimum GPA of 2.5.
Graduate from high school with a minimum attendance of 95%.
Graduate from high school with no suspensions.
Complete a Senior Project.
Achieve acceptable performance evaluations from the employer.
Provide transportation to and from the job site.

The employer will:
Interview the eligible students and make the job offers.
Provide the student with a job mentor.
Provide job coaches to teach the student the technical elements of the job.
Pay the student a wage.
Evaluate the student's job performance and convey it to the school.
Provide the student with work that adds value to the employer.

The school will:
Provide a School-to-Work Coordinator to manage the student's program.
Provide grades and attendance data to the employer and to the student.
Assist in marketing the program to students and employers.
Select the students eligible for the program using the program criteria.
Schedule the student's courses to allow the student to work.
