“World Class Academics”
- Partners with local colleges and universities to offer enhanced learning opportunities in science and foreign language.
- Partners with SUNY Brockport to offer the Computational Math, Science & Technology (CMST) Program which uses hands-on technology to engage students in math and science. Students apply technology in the classroom to analyze and solve real-world science and engineering problems.
- Offers College Board Advanced Placement (AP) courses and SpringBoard ELA program to prepare students for college-level academic work.
- Accelerated instruction for advanced students at all grade levels.
- “Character Counts” and “Peaceable Schools” programs reinforce a positive school environment.
- Extracurricular activities include music, sports, drama, art, and a variety of clubs.
- Community Service Center offers counseling, health, and academic services in partnership with community agencies.
- Uniforms required for grades 7-9.
- Will serve grades 7-12 in 2007-08.
Language Academy at Monroe
The Language Academy at Monroe is an accelerated program for students interested in developing proficiency in both English and Spanish and who want to excel in other subjects as well. Students must meet academic eligibility requirements and have previous Spanish language background.
