Dear RCSD High School Students:

rosetta1Hello, my name is Rosetta Washington.  I am a senior at Charlotte High School and president of the District’s Student Leadership Congress (SLC). SLC is an organization of city high school students who come together to gain leadership experience and participate in projects that benefit the community.

Our past projects have included creating videos to promote positive messages to students, mentoring younger students, sponsoring a children’s carnival, hosting a “teen talk” on WDKX, doing community service work, and providing a student perspective on school district and community issues.

If that sounds interesting to you, then consider joining SLC!

We are looking for students in grades 7 through 12 to join our team. We are seeking students with a team-orientated attitude, creativity and ideas.

Our meetings are held once a month after school at the RCSD Central Office, 131 West Broad Street. We discuss a broad range of topics and do our best to have a positive impact on our schools and community.

If you would like to find out more about SLC, please join us at an upcoming meeting or call 262-8373.

We look forward to meeting you!

Sincerely,

Rosetta Washington
President, Student Leadership Congress
Senior Class President, Charlotte High School
