Moving on to Kindergarten
Thank you for the trust and support you have given the Rochester Prekindergarten Program by enrolling your child in our program for this past year. Success brings change. Because of your child's success this coming year your child will change from prekindergarten to kindergarten. Please allow your enthusiasm for your child's learning and your participation in your child's education to continue throughout his/her school years.
Saying Goodbye and Hello
- Talk to your child about leaving prekindergarten and help him/her celebrate and say goodbye to the prekindergarten teacher and friends.
- Talk to your child about kindergarten. Listen to any concerns your child has about kindergarten.
- Arrange a visit to the kindergarten class of interest to you. Ask questions that address the concerns of your child and of yourself.
