Seniors! If you are interested in reserving a senior page for $10, see Ms. Hollister no later than November 18th. Senior pictures for both the senior section and senior pages must be submitted by December 2nd so be sure to schedule a time with a photographer ASAP. In the past, several students have recommended John Lee from Studio 50 Photography. You can make an appointment by calling (585) 797-6281. Lifetouch photographers will be coming to Vanguard on October 28th so you are welcome to use that photo in the yearbook if you don't wish to have additional photos taken.
A group of artists created handmade, love-themed artwork and hosted multiple sales at Spot Coffee on East Avenue. The group raised $1013 for the American Heart Association! Well done, artists!
Students in Ms. Lee-Monds' Participation in Government classes will be collecting soda can tabs for The CURE Childhood Cancer Association. They use the money from the tabs to provide hospital parking passes for local families who have loved ones receiving treatment for cancer. Vanguard students will be collecting tabs every Monday after school. For more information, see Ms. Lee-Monds in room 143.
Thirty-one students and 3 staff members represented Team Vanguard in the 2015 Making Strides against Breast Cancer Walk on Sunday, October 18th. The team raised over $600 and joined over 10,000 walkers, who collectively raised $655,000 for the American Cancer Society.
