Public Notice: Contract for Excellence public hearing is Sept. 4 (Posted 8.27.08) The Board of Education will conduct a public hearing on Thursday, Sept. 4 at 7 p.m. The District’s Contract for Excellence is the topic of the hearing, which will held in Conference Room 3A of Central Office, 131 W. Broad St. The 2008-09 Contract for Excellence (C4E) articulates how the District will use New York State funding to support new programs/activities or expand the use of programs/activities demonstrated to improve student achievement. The C4E legislation stipulates that at least one public hearing will be conducted. The Board of Education conducted two as part of its 2008-09 budget hearing process. The Board encourages anyone with comments or input to attend the meeting. Participants are not required to register in advance. |
