School Features and Programs
  • Participates in the Walk to Read Program, where students are grouped according to reading level and move in and out of groups to enrich and accelerate their own and their peers’ reading skills.
  • Gives out Monthly Character Education Awards for students who display the attribute of the month.
  • Features the Principal’s Book of the Month, where the principal chooses a book that is tied to both multiculturalism and the Character Education Program utilized in the school.
  • Uses School-wide Positive Behavioral Supports (SWPBS), an anti-bullying program that proactively addresses issues of student behavior and discipline.
  • Holds frequent PTA-sponsored and family-friendly events, such as roller skating parties, literacy/bingo nights, and movie nights.
